DENVER (Aug. 5, 2022) Sherman & Howard L.L.C. (S&H) is pleased to announce that member Diane Wozniak is now chair of the Colorado Bar Association’s Family Law Section Executive Council.

With nearly 15 years of experience as a Colorado-based attorney practicing family law, Wozniak was elected to serve on the executive council three years ago, rising through the leadership to this final appointment. As chair, Wozniak also chairs the Family Law Institute,  the annual family law conference set for Aug. 18-20 at the Hythe in Vail. Register for the conference here. “I’m excited about the opportunity to lead the family law section in a way that really helps support the families of Colorado who are going through a tough time whether it be divorce or a change to their family dynamic,” Wozniak said of her new position.

The Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) is a group of more than 900 lawyers committed to enhancing the practice of family law in Colorado. The section provides a forum for education and communication among family law practitioners and their staff, judges, elected officials, the state bar association, and the public. Wozniak’s duties will include regular meetings with the Colorado Bar Association’s leadership council and statewide judicial leadership, as well as planning educational opportunities for family law attorneys.

Wozniak graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma in 1999, and she earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston in 2006. She began practicing law in Colorado in 2010.

An avid runner, Wozniak has run in 17 marathons, including three Boston Marathons.

The Colorado State Bar Association, founded in 1897, is a voluntary bar association for the state of Colorado with an estimated 18,000 members. There are 26 local bars within the organization. The CBA works for the common interests of attorneys and judges and is a nonprofit organization.
