Growing up with a father in the military and moving frequently helped Diane Wozniak develop superior people skills. Whether she’s building relationships, adapting to situations, or reading others, Diane has a reputation for being a good listener, empathetic, and patient.

She leverages these skills in her family law practice, where she is an exceptional negotiator, skilled litigator, and effective case manager.

Diane focuses on delivering effective solutions to family law challenges. Her experience includes resolving complex issues related to premarital agreements, same-sex marriage, common law marriage, dissolution of marriage, legal separation, paternity, the allocation of parental responsibilities, and guardianships. She has represented clients in domestic hearings for permanent orders, temporary orders, protection orders, and post-decree modifications.

Her extensive experience litigating domestic and civil matters, and her reputation for thorough preparation and creative solutions serve her clients well when it comes to negotiating a favorable settlement. When direct settlement proves unattainable, Diane resolves disputes at trial or through arbitration, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. She is known to resolve matters using private judges to ensure the best possible outcomes for her clients and to allow for flexibility in an otherwise rigid process found in the state court system.

It was Diane’s passion and concern for people’s well-being that led her into family law. She strives to connect with each client and understand their unique stories. In times of crisis, clients know Diane is responsive and fighting for them. She skillfully blends her determination, perspective, and experience to establish a practical strategy that helps her clients navigate the family law process with confidence to achieve results.

Diane Wozniak was destined for family law.

Experience

  • Represented a physician in a complex divorce that involved parenting and financial issues, including trust issues. Through the strategic use of experts, Diane was able to achieve a favorable settlement at mediation that minimized the financial damage to her client and emotional damage to the children.
  • Represented a parent involved in a highly contested custody dispute. Diane thoughtfully selected a parental responsibilities evaluator who understood mental health issues and made appropriate recommendations. Diane settled the case after the evaluator (a joint expert) testified at trial, completely debunking the other parent’s false narrative and creating significant doubt for the fact finder, in this case, a private (retired) judge.
  • Represents victims of domestic violence to protect them and their children from abuse and defend against claims of parental alienation.
  • Represents clients in complex, high-asset-value marital estates in court and mediation.
  • Drafts and reviews premarital, marital and cohabitation agreements.
  • Successfully litigated cases involving premarital agreements.
  • Achieved a favorable ruling in a contested dissolution-of-marriage hearing with a rebuttal expert witness.
