DENVER (January 8, 2024) – Sherman & Howard corporate attorney Alex Thomas has been appointed to the Colorado LGBTQ+ Bar Association (CLBA) Board of Directors as Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee chair. As chair of the CLE Committee, Thomas will coordinate all the association’s bar-hosted CLE programming.

“I’m honored to be appointed in this new role where I get to organize the legal educational programming for the organization,” said Thomas. “CLBA works tirelessly to give LGBTQ+ individuals in Colorado a sense of community and belonging and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Thomas assists companies of all sizes on a variety of business matters. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial intern for Justice William Hood III of the Colorado Supreme Court. Thomas has been a member of CLBA since attending law school at the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law.

CLBA is a voluntary professional organization comprised of LGBTQ+ and allied legal professionals living and working in Colorado. For 30 years, CLBA has provided opportunities for LGBTQ+ legal professionals to interact in safe settings and build meaningful relationships with other identity-based bar associations and legal organizations.
