Additionally, it oversees the funding for regional projects the MDEDC team takes on.”

“Mark’s passion for Colorado and the Metro Denver area, as well as his background in business and corporate governance, commercial, financial institution, and telecommunications law, will be valuable to our organization,” said President of MDEDC Raymond H. Gonzales. “We’re excited to welcome Mark to his new role and look forward to his leadership in helping position us and our partners for growth in the next year.”

“Mark has worked side-by-side with the MDEDC for the past two years serving as the co-chair of the Board of Governors and has done tremendous work,” said J. J. Ament, President and CEO of the DMCC. “He is dedicated to the organization’s mission to make the Metro Denver area a better place to live and work.”

He represents clients in federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as in arbitrations and mediations. He acts as counsel to clients facing regulatory proceedings before federal, state, and local government agencies.

“I’m honored to be elected in this new role and be a part of making decisions that have a direct impact on defining economic development projects,” said Williams. “I share the MDEDC’s vision of bringing businesses and growth to the region, as well as to achieve economic empowerment for every Coloradan. I look forward to working together to shape the economic and employment future of the Metro Denver area.”
