DENVER (Jan. 23, 2023) – The Mountain Region Chapter of Women in Public Finance elected Sherman & Howard’s Tiffany Lu Leichman as their co-president for the next two years.

In this new role, Leichman will plan educational and networking opportunities, assist with and promote mentorship opportunities within the public finance industry, host industry-wide panels, forums, and seminars, and facilitate industry and community-oriented volunteer opportunities. She has been a member of Women in Public Finance for five years.

“I am committed to promoting professional development, continuing education, and mentorship opportunities within the industry,” Leichman said. “Municipal finance benefits and serves surrounding communities with the efficient financing of schools, universities, municipal projects, affordable housing, and public infrastructure. It is an honor to serve in a role that provides leadership opportunities for women in this industry.”

Leichman has been practicing public finance law at Sherman & Howard since 2016. She advises on the issuance of general obligation bonds, direct loans, lease purchase transactions, special revenue bonds, and other debt obligations on behalf of governmental entities and conduit issuers, including special taxing districts and authorities, school districts, urban renewal authorities, cities, towns, and counties.

The Mountain Region Chapter of Women in Public Finance includes the states of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
