The American Lawyer Quotes Gregory Densen on Pandemic-Related Changes Within Law Firms

DENVER, Colo. (March 3, 2021) — Sherman & Howard Chief Executive Officer Gregory Densen was quoted in a recent article by The American Lawyer titled, “What Pandemic Changes Are ‘Here to Stay’ for Law Firms?” The article provides a national review of the various environmental, technological, and operational changes that have occurred within law firms as a result of the pandemic.

Densen discussed the firm’s adaptation of new technology as an effort to ease the challenges of remote work processes: “There are a number of partners who have been here for 30 and 40 years, and this allowed us to introduce and encourage new uses of technology that maybe they wouldn’t have adopted as easily as before.”

The pandemic also “accelerated some of the ways we interact with clients on an accounting front,” Densen said. “Now, billing is almost always done by email. It doesn’t seem like that big a deal, but it’s something where, when we’ve been around for as long as we have—there’s a client that we’ve had since literally 1892—changing some of those formats is something that we really needed to do, and this has helped us adopt that more quickly.”
