Denver, Colo. (July 25, 2019) — Robert Thompson has recently joined the Litigation, Trials and Appeals Practice Group as an Associate at Sherman & Howard’s Denver office.

“We are delighted to welcome Robert to our Litigation Group at Sherman & Howard,” said Katie Varholak, Litigation Practice Group Leader. “His background in finance, securities, and complex corporate investigations positions him to serve a wide range of the firm’s clients.”

He brings a unique background to the firm’s growing Litigation Group with prior experience working in New York and as in-house counsel at a leading financial institution. His practice will specialize in securities litigations and enforcement matters, leveraging his skills advising on general litigation strategy, regulatory enforcement and compliance counseling. Robert has a breadth of experience representing clients in investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Thompson received his J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. from Hampden-Sydney College.
