Sherman & Howard Promotes Jessica Arett, Mary Sue Greenleaf, and William Reed to Members

DENVER, Colo. (February 11, 2022) – Sherman & Howard proudly announced the promotions of Jessica Arett, Mary Sue Greenleaf, and William “Will” Reed to Members. All three attorneys are members of the firm’s Litigation, Trials, & Appeals practice group, one of the largest trial teams in the Rocky Mountain region.

“Jessica, Mary Sue, and Will are the type of creative problem-solvers and strong advocates for which our firm is known,” said Stefan Stein, CEO of Sherman & Howard. “They are outstanding attorneys who are well-connected in the local and legal communities and possess excellent client relationship skills. We’re proud to welcome them as Members of our firm.”

Arett’s litigation practice focuses on commercial disputes arising from corporate governance, construction, and real estate issues as well as commercial contracts and tort claims. She is one of the few Colorado lawyers who is certified as a privacy professional through the International Association of Privacy Professionals, advising businesses and non-profit organizations on issues related to privacy and data security. For two consecutive years, she has been named to the Best Lawyers in America’s “Ones to Watch” list in recognition of her commercial litigation and appellate practices.

“I have been very fortunate to have received the type of mentorship here that has sharpened my legal and customer service skills, helped expand my profile in the legal community in Colorado, and guided the continued growth of my privacy and data security practice,” said Arett.

Greenleaf’s practice focuses on construction disputes, working with a wide range of general contractors, subcontractors, and property owners as they navigate the construction process, including contract negotiations, impacts and delays during construction, construction defect litigation, insurance issues, and other challenges. She is active with the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law and was also recently selected as an Associate Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America.

“The firm has a standard of excellence that we bring to each legal matter that involves thorough case assessment and ascertaining the client’s overall objectives. This is reinforced through learning from my fellow Members, and it always helps me determine the best course of action for my clients and position them for success,” said Greenleaf.

Reed helps clients navigate a wide range of disputes that include insurance coverage, intellectual property and trade secrets, contracts and business torts, and reputation concerns. He focuses a large share of his practice on insurance recovery litigation and helping policyholders obtain the coverage and benefits provided for in their insurance contracts. A former reporter, Reed leverages his journalism skills to uncover facts, build strong cases, and craft compelling stories for judges and juries.

“Our firm’s culture is geared toward growing the responsibility and development of its lawyers. This, along with my experience as a journalist, helps me solve client problems in the most effective way possible, whether through litigation or a creative solution,” said Reed.
