August 21, 2017 – Sherman & Howard LLC announced today that James R. Miller has joined the firm, adding another veteran litigator to its already deep Colorado bench. Jim, who joins from Polsinelli PC, will be based in Sherman & Howard’s Denver office.

Jim has more than four decades of experience defending companies in all aspects of commercial disputes. He has wide-ranging litigation, arbitration and mediation experience and has served as lead trial counsel in state, federal and appellate courts across the nation .. Notably, he served as lead local counsel hired by one of the nation’s leading wirehouses to defend an action brought by the FDIC alleging inter alia that the wirehouse had violated the federal securities laws by selling collateralized debt obligations. In addition to Jim’s significant courtroom experience, he brings a deep understanding of complex scientific and commercial processes and concepts in order to reduce business risk on behalf of our clients.
