Garth Jensen Featured in Denver Business Journal Article on the Denver Giving Machine

While giving back is important to Sherman & Howard all year long, the holiday season especially finds favor. This year, member Garth Jensen took the Business and Real Estate team downtown for their quarterly community service initiative. There, the Denver Giving Machine became a portal to making our world better.

According to the DBJ: “Because attorneys are often swamped this month with year-end closings, he said they needed something that was more convenient than the other charitable activities the firm does throughout the year.”

Jensen said the visit to the machine brought his team together as they gave back to the community. Chatting about which charities each employee had selected offered a way get to know each other better.

“I am a big Habitat guy,” Jensen said. Most of the items he donated went to Denver’s Habitat for Humanity. “Between us, I am sure everyone chose a different charity.”

In addition to Habitat, the machine offers donations for Village Exchange, Metro Caring, Doctors Care, A Precious Child, iDE, MENTOR, and Water for People.
