Rebecca is passionate about helping her clients to navigate difficult personal situations involving the law and brings considerable diplomacy to her family law practice.
Rebecca takes a hands-on approach in complex divorces involving substantial assets, business valuations, significant tax implications, and trust issues. She is frequently retained as a consultant by other divorce lawyers to advise on trust issues in divorce proceedings. Rebecca spent several years earlier in her career as a trust/estate litigator. Her depth of experience with trusts makes her especially qualified for this work. When the circumstances are right, she also helps her clients to avoid the risks and uncertainties of litigation by using trusts to settle divorce cases.
Having drafted and negotiated many hundreds of premarital agreements throughout her career, Rebecca is regarded as an authority in their interpretation and is often asked to serve as an expert witness on the validity of such agreements.
Rebecca recently expanded her practice to include family law mediation. As a litigator, trained mediator, and family law advisor, Rebecca offers a well-rounded perspective and diverse practice experience. She has achieved an impressive settlement track record, no matter how complex the case or how difficult the client.
Recognized and respected by the bench and bar as a leader in the field, Rebecca is a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a sought-after speaker on family law issues.
