Kurt is one of the firm’s specialists as bond counsel for utilities and healthcare bond financings in the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Idaho.

Kurt Kaufmann has served as the City of Colorado Springs’ bond counsel for its utilities financings for more than 30 years and, in more recent years, has served as bond counsel for Platte River Power Authority. He has also acted as bond counsel for the Boise Urban Renewal Agency, as well as bond counsel for the Idaho Health Facilities Authority on its public offerings. Kurt has served as bond counsel and in other roles for numerous other healthcare and other 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation tax-exempt financings in Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and other states. He has also worked extensively on the privatization of healthcare systems in the States of Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming.
