Hope Leibsohn has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of estate planning involving wills, trusts, charitable techniques, estate freezes, and other sophisticated wealth transfer strategies.

Hope is a member of Sherman & Howard’s Estate and Tax Planning Department. Hope specializes in customized legacy plans based not only on tax planning strategies, but also on incorporating each client’s unique family dynamics and core life values. Creative in her approach, she designs various trusts to incentivize beneficiaries to become productive, contributing members of society. Hope’s personal and professional motto is “how best may I serve.”

Experience

  • Counsels clients on all aspects of estate gift and multi-generational tax planning. Advises clients on will, trusts, power of attorney, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, lifetime wealth transfer through qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, family limited partnerships, planned giving, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, private foundations, spousal trusts, and other sophisticated estate and gift tax planning strategies.
  • Advises clients through a unique approach to customized legacy plans, which are based not only on tax planning strategies, but also on incorporating each client’s unique family dynamics and core life values.  Takes a creative approach including customizing trust language for children and grandchildren to provide them with incentives to become productive, contributing members of society.

Hope regularly presents on estate planning topics to diverse audiences, such as the Governor’s Council on Aging, guests of the Phoenix Art Museum, the Arthritis Foundation, Valley of the Sun United Way, and case workers of Homeward Bound.

    • An organization committed to expanding opportunity for children by effecting profound systemic change by finding, developing, and supporting a diverse network of leaders from classrooms, schools, and every sector and field in order to shape the broader system in which schools operate.
    • Collaborated on projects including “WOWies,” an innovative program designed to recognize first year corps members of Teach for America Arizona who are creating transformational learning environments for students at low-income schools in Arizona.

    • Gala attended by celebrities and professional athletes from all over the U.S. consisting of live auction items and musical performances, raising money for charities.
