We are currently accepting 2L applicants with excellent academic credentials, demonstrated leadership experience, and a particular interest in litigation.

The intern will join Sherman & Howard’s Litigation Department for at least 10 weeks of summer 2015. This position will offer a variety of litigation-related experience, as well as the opportunity to work alongside partners and associates who are committed to training and mentorship.

Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of paralegal experience, preferably with real estate and environmental backgrounds. This position involves drafting environmental letters and reviewing reports; drafting or reviewing documents, lease amendments, estoppels, and non-disturbance agreements; gathering title documents; making initial title assessments for potential acquisitions, and; title and survey review.

Candidates must be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to quickly and correctly manage a large volume of work.

Occasional travel to client office in Tempe, Arizona will be required.

A 4-year college degree and/or a certificate of completion from a paralegal institute are desirable.

Ideal candidates will have substantive paralegal experience in a variety of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, personal injury, domestic relations, medical malpractice, and probate law. Candidates must be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to function both independently and collectively within a high-performing office.

A 4-year college degree and/or a certificate of completion from a paralegal institute are desirable but not required for those with the requisite experience and a willingness to learn.
